Let's Go Tokyo!!!

If ever in Tokyo (one of the largest cities in the world), here is sample of things to do (in no particular order)...of course these's lots more, but these were some highlights from my most recent trip:
1) Park Hyatt Hotel in Shinjuku (the bustling city becomes a vast expanse of...well, you'll just have to go and see for yourself)
2) Shibuya ("busiest intersection in the world")...you'll also find a Taiwanese restaurant down the street and around the corner that serves up the best stir-fried flower buds (you heard me right, flower buds!).
3) Hama-rikyu Gardens (have green tea and soak up the serene landscape)
4) Meiji Shrine in Harajuku (you may get to see a traditional Japanese wedding like we did)
5) Roppongi (an expat haven...not for the faint of heart...or wallet - not pictured, you must see/experience for yourself)

Size...its all relative.

I know what you're thinking...and you're wrong...its just a very large glass of apple juice...very expensive apple juice. Kumpai (cheers)!

Lost in Translation...

If you've never been, you must go...Rak Thai restaurant in Japan - they have the best coconut icecream...mmm, mmm good! I learned one way to remember Japanese phrases - use memorable English terms. For example, "your welcome" in Japanese is doitashimaste...us foreigners can say, "don't touch my mustache" and it's pretty close to the Japanese pronunciation...sort of.
